“Cap Taillat (Saint-Tropez)” by José Nicolas belongs to a series of contemporary photographs on the wonders of the bay of Saint-Tropez and its region.

The routes are varied. The path winds from Cap Camarat, to Cap Lardier and Cap Taillat, while revealing its natural wonders. The cliffs reveal creeks, the granite blocks hide coves. Man has shaped passages in the rock. The variety of plants evolving with the seasons is a constant surprise.

In this natural jewel of the Saint-Tropez peninsula, I walk along the paths bordering the sea, I linger, I observe. Working with a medium format camera gives me this forgotten pleasure of the silent click with the rigour of framing.
