Fish are almost everywhere in Cécile Colombo’s work. She paints them individually, in groups, in her series of travel diaries or on the swimming costumes of her bathers.
She also makes them into ceramics, unique pieces, either by their shape or their decoration.
“Casimir” is entirely glazed, it has raised edges which will allow it to be used to present a dish in sauce nicely. It will also make a very nice pocket tin. The touch of the decorated part is subtly structured, thanks to variations in the thickness of the glaze.
