opinion
Cécile Colombo presents her bathers in paintings and ceramics.
Her generously proportioned figures are treated with such benevolence that they are adopted without reservation. The artist is particularly attentive to the creation of motifs that tell us about the joyful and positive fashion of the 1970s: bright colours, flowers, fruits and geometric patterns.
This small glazed ceramic sculpture will easily find its place. We could see it on a desk as a humorous paperweight, for instance. It’s up to you to decide whether you welcome your visitors with the front or the back of the sculpture.
