“Paris – 3” is a work on paper in Indian ink by Duytter. The city of love and the energy that emanates from it has always seduced collectors and inspired artists.

The composition, the framing, the light, the banality of an urban scene taken “on the spot” and fixed for eternity, everything in Duytter’s washes recalls the photographic aesthetic.

Look at the perspective and the reflection of the headlights on the wet road. And yet, if you look closely, each line remains in the rough, far from photographic precision.

It is precisely this duality that makes Duytter’s paintings so charming like “Paris – 3”.
