“Poliedro I – uk” is a ceramic structure by the contemporary artist Marina ÓÁZ.

Marina ÓÁZ has been interested in the design and construction of structures since childhood. With her training as an engineer and many years of experience in the energy sector, she now works on the construction sites of large power plants.

The name she gives to this series of cubes, “En Piezas”, is a play on words: in Spanish “en piezas” means “in pieces”, and “empiezas” means “you begin”. The works in this project are all composed of small pieces that are assembled to form a larger structure. They link the artist to the period when she started building with wooden pieces and Lego.
