The gallery's
opinion
“Raphaël the fish”, an art object to use every day.
Fish are almost everywhere in Cécile Colombo‘s work. She paints them alone, in groups, in her series of travelogues or on the swimsuits of her bathers.
She also makes them into ceramics, unique pieces, either by their shape or their decoration.
The ceramic piece “Raphaël the fish” is entirely enamelled, it has rising edges which will allow it to be used to present a dish in sauce nicely. It will also make a very nice pocket.
